Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce current Director of Energy Services, Ricky Sandlin, will now be spearheading the newly formed Research and Development Division at Burgess. Mr. Sandlin’s strong understanding of the core service offering of Burgess, in conjunction with his experience as a builder, make him the perfect candidate to identify new ways Burgess can improve its service offerings to the construction industry.
Mr. Sandlin comments on his new role, “R&D is critical for company growth. After 30 years in business, we’ve made significant changes as a company and those changes have positively helped the construction industry as a whole. Now, I’m honored to get to lead our continued advancement into the many years to come.”
Effective immediately, Mr. Sandlin will relinquish his duties as Director of Energy Services to current Energy Rater, Chris Urbanus. Mr. Urbanus has been with Burgess since 2011 and has held increasingly important roles within the Energy Department including both in-office management and field work. He holds a number of certifications including RESNET Certified Quality Assurance Designee, HERS Rater and Field Inspector. He is also an ITC Certified Thermographer and NEBB Certified Air Balance Technician.
Mr. Urbanus says of his new position, “I look forward to moving our Energy Division further in the right direction. Our builder clients depend on us to provide accurate and complete energy rating and testing services and I have all the confidence our team of professionals will continue to exceed expectations.”
Nick Bernier, Chief Operations Officer, adds, “The promotions of both Ricky and Chris are strategic moves by Burgess to position itself for the future. Both individuals bring the necessary talents to excel at their new roles and the management team at Burgess is looking forward to their immediate contributions.”
