WATERPROOFING PLAN REVIEW.

Many construction errors can be mitigated through one powerful step: peer plan review.  The Burgess peer plan review is a thorough review of construction drawings to help identify errors prior to beginning construction.  What makes the peer plan review so useful is that it occurs during pre-construction.  Errors caught during pre-construction often result in substantial savings of both time and money later down the road.

WATER
TESTING.

The ASTM E1105 is a standard procedure for determining the
resistance to water penetration under uniform or cyclic static
air pressure differences of installed exterior windows, skylights,
curtain walls, and doors. The air-pressure differences acting across
a building envelope vary greatly. This test is used to simulate wind
driven rain.

• Helps establish a standard of quality and workmanship
• Locates factory defects
• Identifies installation errors
• Verifies proper flashing installation

ELECTRONIC
LEAK DETECTION.

In accordance with ASTM D7877-14, Standard Guide for Electronic Methods for Detecting and Locating Leaks in Waterproof Membranes. Services include marking site, recording via GPS, hand-drawn map of water infiltration locations.

This method can be used to detect leaks from:

     • Construction damage
     • Poor Installation Methods
     • Incomplete welds
     • Pin holes
