Builders & Developers

Insurance-mandated inspections can interrupt progress if they're not handled properly. We help coordinate requirements so they fit into the construction process, not work against it.

  • Inspection scopes based on policy requirements

  • Coordination with site teams and schedules

  • Identification of issues that could impact compliance

You stay focused on building while we handle the requirements and documentation.

Carriers, MGAs & Brokers

We work directly with carriers, MGAs, and brokers to execute inspection programs as intended and provide clear, consistent documentation.

  • Inspections performed to define program standards

  • Structured reporting with photo documentation

  • Consistency across projects and markets

You get reliable data and reporting to support underwriting and risk decisions.

Project Stakeholders

Insurance inspections involve multiple parties, and gaps in communication can slow things down. We help keep everything connected.

  • Direct coordination between all parties

  • Clear documentation and reporting

  • Ongoing visibility into project status

Everyone stays aligned without added coordination on your end.

WHAT WE PERFORM.

Burgess performs insurance-mandated inspections and reviews throughout the construction process to support compliance, documentation, and overall project visibility.

QA/QC CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS

We perform ongoing site inspections throughout the construction process, starting before foundation and continuing through completion. Each visit documents progress and checks the work against approved plans, standards, and insurance requirements. Additional inspections are schedules as needed to observe key systems and assemblies at the right stages.

RISK ASSESSMENTS

We perform third-party risk assessments to evaluate jobsite conditions, construction practices, and overall quality control. Each assessment includes scoring across multiple categories and overall risk rating based on insurance requirements. We document findings and identify conditions that may impact risk, with reviews scheduled to capture multiple phases of construction.

TECHNICAL PLAN REVIEWS

We review construction documents to evaluate design completeness, coordination, and overall constructability. This includes reviewing high-risk plan types and confirming that key details, such as structural components, building envelope systems, and specifications, are clearly addressed and aligned with code and insurance expectations.

GEOTECHNICAL DESIGN REVIEWS

We review geotechnical reports alongside foundation plans to confirm site conditions, soil data, and engineering recommendations are properly incorporated into the design. This includes evaluating subsurface investigations, bearing capacities, and overall site feasibility, while coordinating with the Geotechnical Engineer of Record as needed.

REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION

We provide structured reporting designed to support both construction teams and insurance stakeholders. Reports include clear summaries of findings, open items, and risk indicators, along with detailed documentation and historical tracking so project status and compliance can be easily reviewed at any stage.
